Large worlds are for exploration, more items and more variebility in items.
Medium worlds if you don't want either of the other two. They contain a balance of features from both small and large worlds. Apparently the chances for some rare world-generated items like the Sandstorm-In-A-bottle are highest in medium-sized worlds.
ONE THING TO NOTE: Memory requirements from your PC and video card tend to get higher the larger your world is. So if you have a bad PC or video card then you'll have more problems with large worlds than you will with small worlds.
All worlds, regardless of size, are generated with the same quantity of ores. You find them more easily in small worlds. In that sense, then, you could pick a small world if you were a beginner or a large world if you wanted more of a challenge.
Huh? Narrow-minded? Are you sure you know what you're talking about? You're clearly disgruntled by what I said earlier but can't seem to say why.
I haven't said anything altogether "bad" about any one of the three world sizes. There are benefits and drawbacks to each one, and just because you prefer one particular size, that is no reason to dismiss the other two. Which is exactly what both you and the OP are doing. So I am not the one being narrow-minded here.
BTW, you should be aware that before you posted your response the OP could have deleted their own thread all by themselves. Now they can't (no more than 7 posts in a thread). I could be persuaded to delete my posts but after being insulted like this I don't feel I want to right now.
However, If you just like to progress through the game fast and arent really interested in exploring, then small or medium worlds may be better for you. They have the benefit of having more condensed treasures. What I mean by that is that chests and statues are closer together and much easier to find (at least in my experience, don't know for sure if it is fact).
U mad? Reported for profanity.
B2T: I only create large worlds, even for the smallest things like a trading center.
I'm well aware that not everyone conveys a one-sided favouritism toward large worlds when they post threads, thank you muchly.
