Constantly losing connection
Whenever I join my girlfriend's game, some time like 15 seconds - 2 mins later I get disconnected and writes "Lost connection" on the screen.

Sometimes (like 1/5 of the time) exiting the game, verifying the cache on steam (and every time there is 1 file corrupted, which is reacquired at every cache scan) works and I don't get disconnected. But I'm not even sure this solves the problem, because it helps so rarely.

I think I shall write down the condition we're playing in, just to dismiss some basic issues beforehand.

* We share the same network.
* Both computers are connected to the modem directly with ethernet cables.
* No disconnection occurs when playing other games together.
* Our internet connection is usually like:
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4029124211

* We connect on hamachi (for some reason, the game can't see the server when I try to connect directly on localhost or modem's IP)

* I don't know if it matters, but the world we play together is small.

* I thought at first, I was moving and changing biomes so fast that the game couldn't catch up, however, even if I stay around my spawn point, the disconnection still occurs in the first 1-2 mins.

Well, nothing else comes in my mind. Have any ideas why it's happening, and how to fix it?

Many people is having this bug. They promise to fix it as soon as possible.
Check your antivirus. I know AVG plays havoc while connecting but if you turn it off, join the world, and turn it on again it works fine.

For me.

Sorry dude...
But if it's gonna make you feel better, we broke up almost a year after opening this discussion.

I don't remember how the issue has been resolved, or if it resolved at all tho. The game i mean.

Not sure if this will help anyone's problems, but turning off cloud save fixed it for us. And even if it still doesn't work, copy the world over to the other person and have them host. Maybe either one of these will fix it. Years of ignoring update bugs has gotten Terraria very far!
