Phasesaber or Crystal Storm?

I have 30 Crystal Shards and the materials for both of these, which one should I choose?

Since you need 50 Crystal Shards to make a Phasesaber, I think you ought to make a Crystal Storm.

From everyone's response, it's safe to say that I should make the Crystal Storm.

it seems you already made your decision, but imo i would ignore those saying both, phasesaber is unneccessary and i would only get it if i was meele. and even then you can get the cutlass easily from a pirate invasion (dont kill me if its stats are not superior m8) and with a decent modifier its definitely one of my favorite swords. crystal storm can be very good well into hardmode, and against twins and skeletron prime its a great wep for mages.

I use mainly magic weapons, my main weapons are Golden Shower and Crystal Storm.

Storm is overall more damage, and if you're lucky you'll get a Beam Sword drop from an armored skeleton, so I'd say Crystal Storm. Crystals are soooo easy to get, get at least 100 and make some Crystal Bullets too.
