Sure.... that is if I ever get around to redownloading hamachi :3
also large is not big that way
On the crimson vs corruption debate, I'd say that there are certain pros and cons to be considered.
Crimson pros:
Crimson cons:
Corruption pros:
Corruption cons:
The items that wer ementioned, the ones that crimson doesn't have, are worm teeth, vile mushrooms, the shadow orb item, and the band of starpower. Most of those aren't overly useful, and the ichor effect from crimson is much more useful than the cursed flames from corruption. But on the other hand, crimson tends to be harder to deal with than corruption is, and having a crimson world means that you'll be able to eventually get a set of vampire knives. While the knives are overrated, they serve as a method of fast, direct healing even while under the effects of the healing potion debuff. While the scourge of the corruptor weapon from corrupt worlds is a good melee weapon, it's outdone by the flairon and, with skill, the north pole.
Ichor in early hardmode makes life much easier, as it reduces the victim's defense, allowing for your early hardmode weapons to do more damage to hardy opponents. On the flip side, the cursed flames debuff just plain sucks on high health enemies.
While the items crafted from worm teeth and vile mushrooms aren't entirely needed, the fact remains that a crimson world offers no method of removing hallow before getting a certain hardmode NPC. While the item sold by that NPC is much more effective and desirable than the dust made from vile 'shrooms, it's still nice to have that option. Similarly, the shadow orb item has no crimson dual, although in all honesty, a shadow orb is unnecessary and outdated in the long run.
As far as world size goes, I'm personally more partial to large. While it does mean more travel time, it also means there's a higher chance of having chests that contain all you need from certain biomes. There are more resources overall in the world, but they are spread out further from each other. A large world also makes large scale building projects, such as a skybridge, more difficult and time consuming to impliment. Larger worlds do also give a higher chance of having more evenly distributed biomes. But there are plenty of reasons to prefer a smaller world size.
Upon creation there is a 50% chance you will get corruption and a 50% chance you will get crimson. Outside of creating artificial crimson/corruption (getting seeds and what not) you can't get both in a world. However when your waiting for the world to be created you can tell which will be in your world. After the prompt that says "creating jungle" it says some stuff and then goes to "creating underworld". After that it says "creating dungeon". After that it will either say "making the world evil" (corruption) or "making the world bloody" (crimson).
Well it is also easier to control the spread of corruption/crimson in a smaller world once you enter hardmode.
