Lava & Platforms...

Is there any possible way to put lava on a platform? If so please tell me which platform it is? (e.g. Wooden Platform, Obsidian Platform, etc.) Thanks!

i dont think so... i have tryed this with all platforms and it never seems to work...

Platforms weren't designed to hold liquids like lava or water. They can only hold up objects, characters, and blocks. It does seem odd, after all, to think that something you can jump down from could hold water and lava without it spilling over.

Oh, well then does anyone have a good idea for a gelfactory?

Ohhh... You want to collect the drops from below? All you need to do is build a pit that is only one block deep and about a dozen blocks wide. Fill it with 1 or 2 buckets of lava, then go underneath it to collect the drops. You can put a slime statue on two platforms directly above the lava and wire it up to a timer, and there you go.

Ok, so what I was showing is a little elaborate, I just knocked this one out in in a few minutes.

Most time consuming part was making the timer switch
