Suggestion: Glass walls allowing plant growth
Not sure whether the devs read this here, but one tweak that might make sense is to allow plant growth if the walls are glass. The only situation I can think of where there is a floor that allows plant growth with a wall of glass is a greenhouse/arboretum scenario, in which this would be desirble.
This change would add to creative freedom and ease. Currently, whenever you fire an accidental shot in an arboretum, you have to remove the glass walls until stuff has regrown.

It's an immersion thing I guess. Natural dirt walls for example allow vines, but not ground vegetation, since that one is supposed to require more light. It's especially for preventing trees from growing in caves I guess. Maybe other reasons, too. But since glass lets daylight through, that one would make sense immersion-wise to allow ground vegetation, including trees, to grow. It's indoors, but all necessary conditions for plant growth are met.

I'm pretty sure glass walls already do allow plants to grow behind them. What is your setup?

Uh, do you know of any other transparent blocks in the game?

Nothing was growing. Almost immediately after I removed the glass wall behind the grassy dirt tiles and above, plants started appearing.
