Cobwebs grow?

Lately I have been cobweb hunting to make silk to make molotovs. They're pretty freakin' cool mate, it's awesome. Anyways I have heard rumors that cobwebs do grow back, it even said that on the wiki, so I decided to try it. I went to a jungle and made a house near the underground so I can spawn near the jungle. I go in the underground of it to get some cobwebs. Then I teleport back to my crappy made house and wait a little while. But when I came back to the area where I mined the cobwebs, they haven't grew back. I even placed one cobweb thinking that that was needed for the cobweb to reproduce. What am I doing wrong?

*SIDE NOTE* I went on the wiki to double check, and as it looks to me, it states that it only grows in spider nests. Not in those exact words. Someone on another website asked if cobwebs grow back, some one said yes and they said they always find it grow back in thier "hellvator", but he did not say it had a spider nest. I also heard it's rare.... So finding a spider nest would be hard...

They only grow back in spider nests. I can confirm that as I re-visited an old spider nest in my world yesterday and noticed the whole place was coated in webs once again.

Yes, cobwebs only grow in spiders' nests. Spiders' nests aren't too rare, so if you just pick a spot and dig down you're likely to encounter one somewhere along the line. I often find them while making hellevators and such.
