Trying to seed?
Anyone know of a seed code that will get me lots of Iron Ore close to the surface?

I think any map will have enough iron near the surface.. Just have to look for it.

Well I am on my third map so far no Iron Ore on top at all

Are you only using small maps? I typically go down the natural caves as well and find more than enough to get started. Remember you can save some ore at the start by buying the forge from the vendor!

Look is you aren't going to give me a seed then don't tell me about how things SHOULD be cause if that is the way they were, well, then I wouldn't really need the forum would I?

I don't think you can input seeds, unless you go through the console maybe.. But you might be missing lead, which is Iron's equivalent in some worlds. And who can you buy a forge from? Do you mean an Anvil from the Merchant?

Then you should probably put that in the title, because you can't put seeds in normal Terraria.
