xbox 360 controller

does an xbox 360 controller work in this game?

i mean, i already have over 420 hours in this with mouse and keyboard.

I'm just asking because there is a console version of the game which must work with a controller and i dunno how you would even play it with a controller.

I was thinking I might come back to the pc version if there was controller support.

but I guess it might not matter as I have like 100 other games in my library i haven't finished yet.

i dunno how you play this on a touch screen either for that matter, some of the hard mode bosses require lots of fancy maneuvering which feels like it would be impossible with a touch screen...

but the only thing I could find on pc xbox controller support is this, its a mod but is for a slightly earlier version, the only reason I would use this is if I came from the xbox version and didn't like the mouse and keyboard. http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/green-cats-xbox-controller-mod-1-1-2-version.101928/

well, i always thought the game was played best with mouse and keyboard. but i was thinking if there was controller support optional, then i could sit back and use my laptop and connect it to the big screen tv and play the pc version as if it was a console game.
i got my value out of it. 423 hours is more than i ever spent on any game.

well..i played the ipad version and apparently, the reason it is "playable" on the touch screen is because they watered down all the stats of the monsters, you can face tank plantera with adamantite armor and with dragon armor(version exclusive), practically everything does just 1 damage to you.

i'm used to mouse and keyboard, i just thought controller support would be a nice option.

i'm not sure now but i think the console and ipad versions are made by a different team.

actually, the thing i liked about the ipad version was the autotargeting when you mine, and i discovered, the pc version has that too (smart cursor), and it can be toggled on and off at will.

the pc version is still the superior version
