any modern blocks?

i noticed there are not many modern looking blocks besides titanstone..

any blocks that look modern?
or can you paint any blocks to look modern?

there are many ways to create modern looking structures.
i already saw screenshots from spaceships and robots. You need to tinker with paints and those nifty gemspark blocks. Yeah and glass and stained glass cant hurt too

There's also "plate" blocks you can make with copper/tin ore and stone at a Heavy Workbench.

As many others have pointed out, you can paint blocks to make them seem more "modern". Now, how modern something looks varies from person to person. Also, I find that Red Bricks, Gray Bricks, Wooden Blocks, and Pearlstone Bricks all look pretty up-to-date. Put some Glass Walls (Panes, really, but the difference appears to be semantic in Terraria) in and it's all good.

Feel free to ignore this bit, just a little thing that bugs me about this thread... are you sure you meant modern and not contemporary?

thanks guys i totally forgot about cogs and glass (idk why) and yea i'm just a little new to paints so i don't use it much, not that i don't know how it's quite simple

well what i mean by modern is non medevil looking blocks xD i don't have many real life examples but look at your generic naighbor hood house, or a marble like block? something we use alot of in the modern day

I dunno, I find Gemspark Blocks look more... futuristic than contemporary. I mean, they're still neat and all, but I wouldn't say they're quite what OP is looking for. Then again, I could be wrong, and they could be exactly what OP is looking for.

Well then, you definitely want one of the kinds of Bricks I mentioned. Maybe use some Red Bricks for the walls, and then for the background walls, use Wooden Walls to give it a sort of indoors feel.

Maybe blocks themselves can't make a structure look modern, but putting them together will. Like a carrier ship I'm making composed of ores, bricks, and asphalt is looking pretty modern

yes i was just wondering if there were any blocks i don't know about? i mean yes i have about 300 online hours and atleast 600 offline but i mostly stick to what i know xD if you look at my screenshots its almost all wood and stone...

that sounds quite cool, i have never been good at modern/millitary builds... i can mostly do medevil or rustic/dungeon dark like..

it would be cool if someone could teach me some about modern building xD
