Ores not so mutually exclusive anymore?
In two major wikis it says that there are pairs of ores where only one of the two will spawn in a world, but apparently that's not true. The entry level metals, copper and tin, both seem to always be present. Was that a very recent change that hasn't made it into those wikis yet?

I think you're mistaken.

There can only be either tin or copper, Iron or lead, silver or tungsten and Gold or platinum.

Go check again, cause i'm pretty sure you must have went to two different worlds and tought you saw then in the same one, i know i did the first time i played through the update that introduced the new ores.

either that or you looted a chest with the alternative ore, OR you used the extractinator, which doesn't differentiate the ores either and just shoots out random ores.

Fishing for Crates is also a good way of finding ores that are not in your world.

Hm, maybe I really got confused among the many tries to get a world with a certain selection of ores.
