How to Increase FPS?
I'm playing with 60 FPS, but I don't know how to increase it.
I want to play with 100 or 120 FPS, there's anyway that I can increase my MAX FPS?

You got a 120Hz Monitor ? Then turn on Vsync in your graphics driver. If you got a 60Hz Monitor then i don't see the reason because you will suffer from tearing.

I play all my games on 120+ FPS, doesn't matter the reason, I just wanna know if there's anyway to increase FPS cause Terraria it's the only game that I didn't find where to increase FPS, and I'm not mean to lower the video settings. My PC can support Terraria but the game is setting to MAX FPS 60 by default.

I wanna know if there's anyway that I can change that to 100 or 120.

You can turn on Frameskip. That should work. I had 1.000+ FPS (GTX 970 4GB, i7 4790 4GHz, 8GB RAM). Frameskip can cause problems. So like i said, if you got a 120Hz Monitor then use Vsync, otherwise there is no reason to play with that FPS because you will suffer from tearing.

Wait, when I press F10 or F11, don't remember... Maybe F9, it how me only 60FPS.
How do you know you have 1.000 FPS? To me, it stay locked in 60...

First of all you can turn on FPS Display in the Steam options (Steam > Settings > In-Game > FPS-Display). I turned off Vsync (Nvidia Settings) and then turned on Frameskip (Terraria Settings). That's how i got that much FPS. But there is no reason why i should play with 1.000+ FPS. Btw. i only have a 60Hz Monitor so i only play my games in 60FPS because tearing is extremely annoying.

There are also some other options in the Nvidia Settings to increase FPS for all games. Or unpark cores for a better performance in some games (unparking cores gave me 30-40FPS more in some games).

The games mechanics and background visuals, like the water fountain, the bubble machine and anything that's placable and has a moving visual, was made to only run at 60 FPS, so increasing the FPS makes them run faster in turn making it look stupidly fast and like its glitching out. I increased my FPS to 120 and that happened to me and I soon found out I liked 60 better.

Terraria is the only game that is made to run at 60 FPS because of that. The game runs at it because it's mechanics are made specifically for it and nothing higher.

Also, once you turn off frame skip it's best to restart the game to see the effect work.

The game runs at 60 FPS by default because higher FPS causes your GPU to use my power than it really needs and in turn wears it down faster and can cause high temp issues.

There is only one part where i not agree. That Terraria is the only game made to only run at 60FPS. There are a lot of games who are programmed to be like this (mostly unknown games). I remember back in the days when games like Diablo II only run with 25FPS because of the cap.

Oh, boo hoo, I'm sorry. I don't play thousands of games, so I wouldn't know. The only games I have played are ones that either have an FPS lock and it can't be lifted due to the game only running at 60 FPS or lower, or games that have an FPS limit, such as BO II, where as anything beyond 60 doesn't damage the game because there is a max FPS.

''Oh, boo hoo, I'm sorry''

Really ? Kids these days get so emotional when somebody just slightly disagree with them, i love it. Watch out before you get the award for most emotional kid on the internet.

Laugh out loud. Is it that hard to stick to the topic at hand? Damn, "kids these days"...
Before calling someone a "kid", check yourself out because you may never know what you will find.

I tried supplying the OP with useful information, some you may never have known and you try to act like a now it all and say it's not, when there are things in this world you just may not know.

Don't worry, i was the first one who answered the thread. He asked how he can get more FPS, i answered how he can get more. The information that you provided were not new to me (500+ hours in Terraria, so after some time you know things like this).

Btw. I agreed to your post #6 (good short information), just not with one point so i added some more information to it. And you get emotional about it like a little child (yes, with your 17 years you are still a kid and you even said it by yourself in your Vlog video on youtube, Tanner). That's all. Deal with it. I'm out.
