What is the most OP weapon?

When will you (Hope) realize there is no "most OP item." or "best item.". It doesn't exist.
Of course some items (weapons) are better than others, but there is no best item/weapon.
Anyone who says otherwise doesn't have enough experience with the game.

I agree with My Name Uni, but from what I've heard, the Terra Blade is an excellent weapon.

Not exactly, the Terra Blade does 88 base damage while the Horseman's Blade only does 75.

Kinda depends if you just look at raw damage or all other stuff like when you can get it and how usefull it is.

For a non troll answer: Spear. You can get it after less than 5 minutes of playing, strong weapon without modifiers, pretty good range and damage for the first few nights and you can kill all pre hardmode bosses except WoF with it rather easily.

In before all haters saying vamp knives is better cuz hurr durr lifesteal....

but the terra blade is a ranged weopon
and the pumkins do more damage the more you swing (the horsemans blade)

vimpire knive are the best with melee boosts
because they have more range

If you hit a single enemy terra blade wins yes. But if you start hitting critters that you are rapidly spawning you could reach over 100k damage per second with horsemans with all pumpkins that would spawn.

I use horsemans just because it looks better. Terra blade is by far one of the ugliest weapons in the game.

You forgot about scourge of the corruptor. (not sure if attackspeed works on that though). It has more range and shatters in projectiles that seek out nearby foes.

i agree, but now that i think about it, snowmans cannon is a better ranged weapon

The Vamp Knives heal you for very little, and have a very low DPS.
If you can dodge well, you wont even need the Knives.
