Cant open doors

Hello, i bought terraria today and made a house, whenever I try opening a door it wont open no matter how many times i break it and re-place it. Any thing wrong?

Is there anything infront or behind the door that is obstructing it....

Even a little rock or dirt patch on the ground would completely block the door on one way. You can open doors while facing left to open them left, and right to open them right.

It is probably something like a torch preventing it from opening in a certain direction (a lil tip for you, you can still open the door in the opposite direction when standing at the correct distance, this is useful to stop mobs from coming in as they are only able to open the door away from them)

Make sure nothing is touching your door. No blocks, furniture, torches, etc.

Try having your character look the other way and click on the door, it will open in the opposite direction.
