The Guide shows you the recipes, BTW.
I'll keep the httrack in mind, though, if other recommendations aren't forthcoming. At least it does allow updating the mirrored site and that would be very useful. Thanks again!
Yes, that works for materials you have, but it doesn't help me for... what I don't yet have. For instance, if I don't have iron, I won't know that using my copper to craft a sword appears to be a waste, since iron might yield me a much better sword. (Not that such is a critical difference, it's just an example.)
And, yes, I can find this sort of thing on the Wiki. But, it's a handy offline sort of crafting guide/recipe sort of thing I'm looking for.
I'm not looking for this in-game, I'm just looking for offline references.
You could probably just save that page for offline reference.
Admittedly, because there are so many craftables and so many different properties and stats, a simple offline solution may not be possible. Plus, Terraria isn't a "static" game in this respect, since patches/additions could change attributes, recipes or even add new items.
It's all very confusing... :) Ideally, something like a java app that would read the game's current data files and dynamically produce a working recipe book would be the best of all possible worlds. The Windows 8 app might do something like that, but I run Win 7, because Windows 8 is teh devil. :)
Yeah. To be honest, after a while of actually playing and experimenting (and, as mentioned a few times, using the Guide!) you'll learn these things. 800+ hours later, though, and I still forget how to make a bed, ... live and learn. xD
