Rain Clouds
I made a tunnel out of slime ice blocks that goes through sky islands, and the roof of the tunnel is made out of rain clouds. There isnt any rain animation/particles coming from the clouds, and i have removed all of the rainclouds from the floating island to ensure that it wasnt because there were too many in the area. Anyone got an idea of what is wrong?

Probably needs enough space to spawn with rain. vertical space that is. Unsure about this one, as I haven't built with those in a long time... So that is all I can think of.

Can you post a screenshot?

Also, just in case, it's really Rain Clouds, not just Cloud blocks, right? The former are considerably darker, so maybe you accidentally put up Cloud blocks because they look more like clouds?

These are 2 seperate islands, but one has particles to prove the point that its not the height that is the problem.

That's strange indeed. Nothing comes to mind as to the cause. Sorry.

i know, i even removed all the blocks and replaced them and nothing happened
it seems situational unfortunately... :(

Do you happen to have your quality-settings under "Settings --> Video --> Quality" set to anything other than "High" by any chance?

Appearently, there is be a limit, to how many rain-clouds can emit particles, if set lower.

If it is set to "High" already, then it seems like there generally is a limit to how many rain-clouds, placed at the same time and in a certain vicinity, can make rain.

Then that is a bit odd.

Were the ones raining placed by you? That might be a dumb question...

Regardless, it might just mean the game is meeting its' limitations or could be a bug/glitch that can happen. Could be a result in running to fast to the other island and back. As in glitch. The particles not rendering due to your character moving fast from one place to next and it render is trying to catch up, but gets trunketed in the procress.

Well that is what I can assume anyway; that is if you were going between the two islands pretty fast. Else I haven't a clue, but one thing is certain. Has to do maybe with rendering. A possibility anyhow.

have you established parameters around beginning and end points (x,y coordinates) that the rain blocks start raining? maybe that sky island is your worlds california...

the one that is raining was placed by me, also i put the map up in a dedicated server and my friend could see the particles of both, so it has to be the client.

you should probably have someone in the same household check your screen too. I study psychology and you may be experiencing a type of bottom-up visual hallucination. Have you smelled roses lately when none are present? better safe then sorry, ya know.

No, im not broken in the head. If I posted 2 screenshots and no one saw rain on one of them, its probably the fact that it is messed up.
