Courtesy of the mighty and wise Yrimir. Actuators for it all are expensive as hell though.
Am I the only one who can get 30+ worms in a single raining session merely by running around my NPC town???
The bait farm I'm using is a much simpler one: a basic 2-level skybridge covered by grass. I then just run across it while swinging the bug net and firing my grappling hook straight ahead in order to cut the grass. Even though the grassed over area of the skybridge only extends a short way in the middle of the map, I tend to get around 5-10 worms and around 30 grasshoppers per "harvest".
Oh, and if you use water candles (ideally one placed and one in hand) at your base, you can vastly boost the worm spawn rate during rain, as well as the firefly and butterfly spawns, particularly during swarm days/nights. I once cought 130+ fireflies in a single night that way.
