A base to do 20/20 Frost Moon?

Hi, so I've been working on a base that allows me to do all 20 waves, maybe 18 or 19, that's basically a damage race, but what I'm asking is an idea, how to make this base better? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=322612766 All is fine, it's just I need a shelter of some kind, every video in which people show how they did 18-20 Frost Moon waves they have spectre armor when it was op, now if I go healing set I have low damage and I can barely reach wave 17, I'm finda with that, but idk... there has to be a way. I basically die when there are too many bosses attacking me constantly, I just can't run or fly around... then stuff spawns on my spot and it's annoying 'cause some of the bosses might dispawn as well.

The teleporters teleport the mobs that spawn off screen below me, so that I can kill them faster, and they're gonna stand together so it's easier for me to do damage with my blizzard staff. My idea is to basically switch on healing set after I see that I'm dying and I'll see how many waves I can defeat. Tho it's pain in the ass after 15th wave... already forces me healing set.

the healing set is'nt worth the less damage in order to do it you will need alot of buffs and a place for hearts to drop to heal you olang with a heartreach potion to reach em

Well I cleaned 3 worlds and couldn't find heart statues for extra life hearts... idk what else is addable here.

get a heart lantern and a hole of honey to stand in, sense your mage i suggest you also add a star lantern

There is a heart lanthern, I can't put honey anywhere, then I need blocks, and if I put down the blocks in the middle I can't fire through them, didn't know about star lanthern... tho totally no need of that, I get more than enough mana from the dead mobs.

Maybe you could do something like that and work on improving over my build. I've spent a good while trying to figure ways to make it better, but I don't really don't care much about FM, anyway, ... it's PM where the money's at, IMO.

I have like a line of trophies in my house, mananged to make a line with pumpkin moon trophies, since 15/15 is piece of cake, now I wanna do that with frost moon trophies :P

i have done that :) i use a afk farm gets me to about wave 18 before time runs out

Managed to do 18/20 so far... Tho I didn't have my best armor, was missing 2 accessories, one with magnit + 15 damage and one with 12 damage. And I could also use defensive potions and hp potion + a few more maybe. I did it as a mage, I wonder if ranger can do better tho. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=322934666 Added a few stuff, crabs helped a lot for infinite mana crystals, didn't even need to use mana potions.

Personally I use the farm of a Jebediah Kerman on YT. His video is titled "Terraria 1.2.3.1, Frost Moon Solo (Wave 20)" and simply abuses the Horseman´s Blade. I personally have never failed to reach wave 20 (and get plenty of kills in this wave) with the setup in the video. The only death I´ve had was a very, very well placed Ice Queen who absolutely tore me a new one, but I still don´t quite know how she got past the built-in immunity system. The same channel also has a how-to video for the build. It´s very, very simple and the only issue is the 8 statues needed to get full spawn rate of the pumpkins.

I manage to get to final wave , it works with teleporters .
Very nice thing to build in any world :P

Ah, from the sounds of it, they basically do what I do. xD I certainly don't hit wave 20, though (I can hit 19, but time runs out before I can do anything) but now that I know it's possible (he does it legitimately, right?) I'll look into it more.

Most likely it is his absolute lack of buffs :P I personally buff myself in every way I can, beer, well fed, ichor pot, all that good stuff. Regardless, I thought I´d point towards the video since it has worked wonders for me :)

Ditto, Akoran. Ale is awesome. I removed my edit, because I noticed later in the video his damage suddenly shot up, so I'm guessing he just didn't use his buffs until later or something.

Sorry to be so skeptical, but he's dealing a similar (if not less) damage to me, yet those queens are dying much faster than they do with me. I don't get what I'm missing. >.< Sod it, I'm going on Terraria to figure this out. xD

Perhaps it is the way the statues are set up. Are you sure yours are set up effectively? It may also be how many of each statue you are using. If you´re using only 1 or 2 kinds of statue, you won´t have as many spawns per activation and hence less pumpkins. I notice that I stack a lot of pumpkins up who tend to take away ~70% of an Ice Queens HP once they all hit at once.
