Best Bow and Arrows?

I need to know what is the best bow out there and arrows also...
There's so much stuff in terraria...

Best bow is the Tsunami a drop from duke fishron. while best arrows that realy depends.
For crowd control hellfire arrows!
For a boxed in arena for bosses use colophryte arrows!
For high simgle hit dm use venom arrorws!
For great single target dm use ichor arrows!
also if you want a bow that makes any arrow bounce of walls then go for pulse bow whitch is a rare sell from travveling merchant if you have the two bows and one of those arrow types then thats the best stuff for terraria 1.2.4.1!

Actually the pulse bow is a rare chance from the travl. merchant in hard mode i have pulse bow 70 dmg! OP

An Adamantite/Titanium repeater with the proper accessories is a beast with only slightly less damage than these rare weapons mentioned! Plus auto-fire ftw! :P

With the same accessories, the other bows are even more awesome in comparison. Although it is absolutely true that they still don't have auto-fire.

Tsunami is the best bow, as for arrows I'm not sure, but I use Venom Arrows, I don't remember why, but I think they are easiest to make and they deal quite good damage. I just have 29,999 or so in my inventory so that I don't need to make them for half of a century :D

Skate launcher with skates is by far the best for everything.

For bows specifically, the Pulse Bow has the highest per-shot damage of any bow in the game. It also has an auto fire feature. It is sold by the Travelling Merchant post-Plantera for 45 gold.
However, for max DPS, the Tsunami shoots 5 shots per arrow, leading to a much higher damage output overall. It does not autofire. It is dropped by Duke Fishron.

As for arrows, Venom Arrows (wooden arrows and Vial of Venom) have the highest pure damage, while Ichor Arrows can debuff a target, leading to 10 more damage taken while only delaing 2 damage per arrows less than the venom Arrows. They are made from wooden arrows and Ichor.

TL:DR
If we presume all arrows hit, the Tsunami with Ichor Arrows result in the highest DPS.
If you want to hit as hard as possible, a Pulse Bow with Venom Arrows deliver the highest DPH.

With the right armor and equippable, the stake launcher has the highest DPS out of bows. Not out of all weapons (as my Terraria colleagues pointed out) But out of bows it is the best.

Stake Launcher. He mis-spelled it. It's a drop from Mourning Woods during the Pumpkin Moon event. It can't fire special arrows though. Only stakes.
