well i mostly want tips on how to beat bosses and stuff like that
1) The cactus sword is really good at the beginning. It's worth it to spend the first day finding a desert biome. Then at night, spend the night time digging and exploring underground.
2) Plant some acorns in the beginning area that you just cleared out of trees. That way, in a few game days, you'll get some more trees without having to travel so far.
3) Start collecting seeds and plant as soon as possible. Having a steady supply of herbs makes is good for making any potions that you want.
4) For faster progression, try to explore open cave areas already, instead of digging lots of new tunnels.
5) If you're willing to die a lot, then you can also explore the jungle area first. After several tries, having collected various jungle materials, you will be able to make jungle gear or weapons, which will allow you to surpass all the typical beginner ore tiers.
With the jungle chakram, you can easily defeat Eye of Cthulu.
if you run out of inventory space use the social slot to store equipment you arent useing currently
dont waste time collecting ores you dont need - remember iron is still usefull later to craft items for boss summoning or falmethrower
Also, once you defeat the Eater of Worlds or the Brain of Cthulhu, dig a 3 tile wide hole straight from the surface to the bottom of the map. It'll take awhile, even with a Nightmare Pickaxe/Deathbringer Pickaxe, but once your down there, you have access to the best pre-Hardmode ore in the game: Hellstone. More than likely, you'll also have a decent supply of Obisidian from Water impacting Lava and cooling it. Get plenty of this stuff together and a Hellforge (also from the lowest part of the map) and you'll be able to make the best gear in Pre-Harmode.
I used to do shadow/crimtante, meteor, jungle, then necro, before getting hellstone. And considering how long the jungle and dungeon could be for exploration, it would be a really long time before upgrading. But now it seems that those could be skipped, or maybe they always could, and I just never tried the pickaxes made of demonite/crimtane on hellstone.
Pick up every single piece of ore or gem you can find, even if there is only one piece there, because it does add up.
Invest any ores you can find into armor FIRST. The one exception is gold; the first thing you make with gold should be a pickaxe, then armor. DO NOT use ore for weapons because you'll eventually find better pre-made weapons like spears, chain knives, boomerangs, and the Bone Sword dropped from skeletons.
For substrate blocks like dirt, mud, clay, stone and sand, keep only one stack and discard any ful stacks you have. The same goes with items you can buy and items that commonly drop from enemies. This will save up a lot of space in your storage chests.
Categorize your stuff and keep related stuff in its own chest straight from the start so that you know where everything is and you don't need to re-organize it later on.
Do not craft any chests or storage containers on your own; apparently there is a bug in the game that causes items in chests to disappear if there are too many chests in the world. Only using the chests you find lying around will ensure that this won't happen.

Well he has many videos but I did see one where he was farming the undead skeleton. If I recall, it was without using water candle and battle potion. He sped up the video so we can't say that his spawn rate isn't just the normal spawn rate.
