How many players per server????
......... can i have pvp in the game?

The default limit is 8 players on a server, but that can be changed by the host.

And PvP is possible in Terraria, but each individual player has to enable it in order to participate.

Up to 255 players can play on a single server. You'll probably get pretty significant lag if you do that, though. Lol.
