Which is better Hellstone sword of blade of grass sword

It's like asking which is better, a $250 Windows laptop vs a M4 Max Macbook Pro. The Macbook is obviously gonna be better, in this case the Volcano.

I'm not sure why people are pretending this is even close. why even make a comment if you have nothing to say ?

I say Blade of grass is best, hands down I take this over infernal greatsword (renamed volcano) any day.

Blade of grass 18 damage but attacks twice as fast as volcano , has a leaf blade projectile with 20 armor penetration , that goes thru blocks , auto targets enemies , can pierce 1 enemy and can inflict poison doing 42 damages over 7 seconds 6 damage per tick

Now the volcano 40 damage but half the speed , you are effectively doing the same damage over time but because it attacks SO SLOW you are more likely to be hit while using it.

The volcano has an explosion effect but it is mostly useless because you kill things with the sword hit and then it explodes when there is nothing left on screen. The on fire effect is not as good as poison unless you have a way to inflict oil on the enemy , without oil it only does 12 damage at 4 dmg per second for 3 seconds , Both poison and on fire disable health regen.

By the time you have both swords you are probably killing regular enemies easily no matter what sword you use but the leaf blade is faster and has a much more useful projectile that will help on bosses and mobbing much more than the volcano's explosion effect.
