Nah, not going to renovate when I can just remove the decoration.
That shouldn't matter either.. as that is not a physical object and seems to work just fine on all the other various objects and chests I have in the other houses.
Also, I tried putting the anchor in the empty house to the right of that one, in the exact same position relative to the door, and it was a valid house.
for some reason having all the trophies seems to force both flags into the same spot which won't let you put a second NPC in there
this is strange since npcs don't really care about having space for their flag normally, but if you have both they seem to suddenly care a lot
get rid of the anchor, put both NPCs you want inside, then place the anchor back down, OR just have one NPC in there
