Proper use for King Statue and Queen Statue?

Everytime I get the statues running, the NPCs just teleport back to their housing at night.
Is there a way to get around this?

umm... What's wrong with your NPCs teleporting back to their houses? That's what the statue actually does. I don't get what you want to achieve tbh...

If an NPC and that NPC's housing are both offscreen at night, the NPC will teleport to their housing. That's hardcoded into the game.

It seems everyone got the wrong idea.

I asked how to go around it, such as a wire-mechanic, exploit etc.
Anything that will let the NPCs stay temporarily in a given location unhindered.

I need this, because I have my housings at the middle of the world, alongside a wrongly calculated Event farming area. I don't wanna rebuild.

The main thing is: There's no reliable way around it outside rebuilding either the arena or your default NPC hoursing.
