i cant hit skeletron with star cannon in legendary mode, what do i do?

yeah the star cannon doesn't work on bosses there. I haven't actually played on that seed or used the star cannon, so idk if it's the seed or just legendary mode on that seed.

many bosses and their minions/parts/segments will reflect the projectiles from the Star Cannon and Super Star Shooter, this includes:
Eye of Cthulhu and its Servant of Cthulhu, all Eater of Worlds' segments, Brain of Cthulhu and its Creepers, Skeletron (head and both hands), Wall of Flesh and its Hungries and Leeches, Retinazer, Spazmatism, all the Destroyer's segments and its Probes, Skeletron Prime (head and all four hands), Plantera, Plantera's Hook and Plantera's Tentacle, all parts of the Golem, and all parts of the Moon Lord.

Yeah, they basically made the star cannon useless against bosses that are required for progression.
