Does the Rod of Discord still drop?

I’ve been AFK farming for several hours and have killed thousands of mobs, but it still hasn’t dropped. Has anyone gotten it recently?

Yes, it still drops. The problem with relying on drop rate is that statistics do not reflect the actual outcome. Sometimes your RNG is particularly spiteful (as a manner of speaking). Ensure that you're in an underground hallow biome, Remember, it *ONLY* drops from Chaos Elementals. For this reason, people usually stick to hollowing out the space in a world and making a farm, depending on the nature of it that may not be beginner friendly necessarily (not saying you are, just making the note).

While I'm talking about that, bear in mind that Terraria has two wikis, and both are a bit of a chore/spoiler ridden to read, but if you do decide to look something up do it on the wiki.gg one, Fandom has gone downhill recently (Which is why there are web browser extensions that redirect or alter Google search to omit Fandom links if an alternative is available) and in some communities is prone to rampant vandalization.

Oh yea, also, Chaos Elementals will only spawn when you are moving, jumping counts. This is to counteract farming them but people still do lol.

to add to that, minecarts do not work, it has to be constant inputs I believe

what if i put a weight on my spacebar with frog legs equip for the auto jump

that will work perfectly, that is how I do it. though there is a slight problem, the flying swords go through walls and will probably kill you eventually, there are some counters though, I usually put a bed under the platform so if I die I respawn and start jumping again, out from behind walls

the bed is a good idea, im a summoner with the dagger summon i think they'll be able to keep stuff off me thanks for confirming the frog legs work, farming them also i assume rakes in apple pie food items too? sounds like a useful farm i was thinking of setting one up soon

It could go as low as 1 in 8192.

oh, my bad for getting that wrong lol. I'm not too versed into the shiny rates
