Cloud saving is kind of weird to say the least. And if you talked to the people who have both technical issues and regular issues with Terraria cloud saving you might just be better off using a home server or just a flash drive to save your stuff over the unreliability of steam on this one.
Not like it's hard to do it since everything is saved in unencrypted file formats without any read/write protections in documents under a main folder clearly labels "Terraria". Simpler times for the personal management of save files back in circa 2010.

Yes, but I lost my world now and I have a steam drive for games and why do the saves not go there fr. Trying to keep my os and games separate.

Steam clouds saves launched December 2022 where as Terraria launched May 2011. Games did everything differently fourteen years ago and the idea that a platform would automatically keep a copy of your saves on a cloud server was unheard of and the option to transfer a save to the cloud was a personal one with rather limited storage size.

Also if your OS drive is considered the default drive and despite installing Terraria on a separate drive it still reads/writes saves to the OS drive that could just be the game being old as hell man.
