No ice skates at all

I searched it up and Ice skates are a 1/6 from ice chests. I HAVE WORLD HOPPED COUNTLESS TIMES!!! OPENED SO MANY CHESTS THAT IT HAS TO BE A 100% CHANCE!!! AND I STILL CANT FIND ANY!!! Am I just cursed? maybe. Idk I cant find it anywhere

The amount of times I've gotten ice bows instead of skates is mind-blowing. This game knows how to break anyone down.

Yeah sometimes the game just keeps things from you in a run.

Just keep opening chests I guess?

I had the same problem with one of the lava items last time I played.

Fishing is a decent last resort though making a big enough pond can be tedious.

go to another world-not working?
try fishing for ice crates-not working?
try it on multiple worlds like 3 4 or 5
then if still no iceskates check the game integrity (via steam) and go to a site woth the codes for the iceskates and put them in the accesories files (if you dont have them)

I found it after long lost. and I tried everything

my latest normal mode play through, very casual 12 hours, hole to hell, beat slime, eye, brain and skeletron, been across entire map and have the noob wings. I just now found my first pair of ice skates, and I still have yet to find a mirror of either type, been using potions the whole time, it's kind of nuts since 20 minutes is too long haha 12 hours and I've been all over ice and grassy biomes, large trees. I have not been under the jungle yet, again very casual play through, but I bet i find a mirror there haha

That's not how probabilities work. That said, fishing is probably faster/easier than trying to find new planets.

I know what math is. It is just the odds of it not being found in about 10 worlds and 5 chests in each world.

Those odds aren't actually zero, is my point. There's no way to make those odds zero short of literally cheating. Stuff like this is actually proof that the RNG is isn't rigged, because pity mechanics are technically the RNG being rigged.
