Angler Rules

So I'm trying to compile information for myself and others, let me ask some questions and see what everyone knows so far.

1. If you take a quest in world A do you retain said quest if you enter world B?

2. If you take a new quest from world B's angler, do you lose your quest in world A?

3. Can the 50 total quests for gold rod reward come from any combo of servers or just one angler?
(AKA is the reward for angling quests in general character or world bound?)

I believe quests are world-specific. They're not even real quests, they just let you know what that world's Angler is looking for that particular day (and thus which quest item is catchable at that time/place).

Total quests completed, now, I'm pretty sure that's tied to your character. You could get to 50 quests done by completing quests in various worlds, thus not having to wait 24 minutes to get new quests.

I agree with Tripoteur. If you're playing multiplayer, he always offers the same "quest" to all the players at the same time. If your char is really good at fishing, you can even catch multiple of the quest fish (not while it's in your inventory) and pass them out to other players.

Yes. Quests are world-specific, but the completed-quest count is tied to your character. Unfortunately, the former means that you can't go to other worlds to catch quest fish, which is annoying since I've eradicated all corruption in my main world but he still keeps asking for corruption-only fish.

Yeah. He changes his quest at dawn each day whether you completed the last one or not.

If you leave your game right before dawn, it'll be dawn once you re-enter in your world.
Sadly, when this happens, the angler won't aknowledge the fact a day passed and thus won't give you a new quest.

And if you want to keep track of your quests counts (wiki says it too but I can confirm it as I've completed 80+ quests) :
Reward for 10 quests = the carrot for the bunny mount
20 quests = angler hat
30 quests = angler vest
40 quests = angler pants
and 50 quests = golden fishing rod

I have just confirmed that the amount of quests completed is character bound.
I Just now received the angler pants on a world on which I have never fished before.
