How to Catch Fish in Lava?

Doing my first quest for the angler. He says that the quest fish is at Hell but I can't get any fish with my fleshcatcher. How do I fish in lava?

Seems like most quests that look like they'd send you to the Underworld still let you complete it in regular caverns, though you might need to be very deep (not sure).

For example, I fished out the Demonic Hellfish in a water pool I made just above the Underworld. I wasn't in the Underworld itself or fishing in Magma.

You *can* fish in Magma, but it requires the Hotline Rod, which is a fishing quest reward after 25+ quests comlete, so I wouldn't worry about that just now.
