How do you capture Jellyfish to use as bait?

You can use the bugnet to catch most other bait, but it doesn't work on jellies. Is there another way to get em?

You can catch them by simply fishing them.
I got two of them while fishing in caverns.

But there wasn't a jellyfish in the water : I fished it the same way I got everything else.
Maybe fishing while there's a jellyfish in the water increases chances to get one or maybe you can catch the jellyfish itself, haven't tested.

Hilariously enough, the jellyfish bait is obtained by fishing for it, which makes it rather redundant. Still its a fairly strong bait compared to the grasshoppers and the like, so its a nice step up.

As far as I'm aware of however, jelly fish bait is obtained in the underground and caverns.

That's incorrect. I found one while fishing in the ocean.
