Living Fire Block?

I seem to have 21 'Living Fire Blocks' and no idea why they are in my inventory. There doesn't seem to be a wiki page on it. What are they and do you have any idea how I came about collecting them?

The changelog stated that they drop from the creatures in the underworld during hardmode, but i don't know if they have a use besides decoration, as i haven't collected any yet.
