HELP!!! I cant forward my ports to make a terraria server!
Okay so I have a netgear WNDR4300 router and i went to forward my ports. I know i did this correctly but theres something wrong. I just dont know what it is. I disabled firewall so I knew it wasnt the issue but anyways Ill show what i did.

Service Name Terraria

Protocol TCP/UDP

External Starting Port 7777 (1~65534)

External Ending Port 7777 (1~65534)

(checked) Use the same port range for Internal port

Internal Starting Port 7777 (1~65534)

Internal Ending Port 7777

Internal IP address 192.168.1.3 (I know thats correct Its my pc name)

Also I uninstalled norton 360 cause it was keeping me from disabling firewall.

I tried so many things and nothings happening but I dont want to give up. Also im NOT getting hamachi!

You don't have to forward your ports. The game automatically does it for you as of the 1.2 update.

I then tested it and my friend said it didnt work again SO i uninstalled norton and then disabled fire wall well....nothing happened at ALL. That is everything i did but i still dont know what it is. ): and again I dont want to download hamachi. If you're still having problems, try using a LAN program like Hamachi. I /think/ GameRanger also supports Terraria.

If you're still having issues when you get online again, feel free to add me & I'll assist you in getting your server accessible by others.

You would have been able to connect to your server even if you hadn't forwarded the ports. My only suggestion would be to go to run, type in cmd, type ipconfig and check to make sure your ipv4 hasnt changed
Badplum25 May 5, 2014 @ 5:49pm
no i can join it and my brother can so its set up LAN right now i just want to open up my ports and my ipv4 hasnt changed

Did you make sure to enable it after you put the correct information in? If you are sure you did that and put in the correct internal ip, put up your server and then check this website:
http://www.canyouseeme.org/

It will tell you if the port is open or not. If it says its open, then whoever is trying to join doesn't know what they are doing, because it should be working. If it still says it is closed, you could try asking for help here:
