Has anyone else had trouble getting these?

I've been trying to get the Ankh charm and all that is left are the Vitamins. They seem to be the most elusive item ever. I don't know about the Floty Grosses because I'm currently in a Corruption world with a friend, but the Corruptors are not giving me any mercy. Collectively, we have killed at least 300-350 by means of just seeing them or actually farming for them. To fail to receive an item with a 1% chance to drop, (about 1 time in every 100 kills) and to receive a Blindfold with the same drop chance about 7 times is fairly absurd. I'm not sure if it is just a bug or we are getting unrealisticly back luck with the odds, but it's kind of getting annoying. I know the Ankh charm isn't necessary at all to do what we're doing, but I really am curious to know what's going on. It's not on the List of known bugs,[terraria.gamepedia.com] so I don't know whether anyone else notices this.

I'm pretty sure it's just a statistical anomaly. I had trouble getting vitamins for a while, too. And even after I crafted the ankh shield, they only dropped once more, despite I was farming the underground corruption a lot...
So, just be patient and keep trying. The vitamins will drop eventually...

the wonders of RNG.
i got everything for my ankh charm, except the vitamins and the thing you can combine it with.
but i'm not looking for it anyways atm. got most of the stuff needed for that at a blood moon between a snow biome, purity and the hallow.

also, slimes in the corruption a far more common than corruptors (talking about the corruption right now, but i guess the same applies for the crimson and their mob's counterparts), so naturally you find more of 'em.

try the following:
build a simple lava trap within your crimson, with lava next to you and above you (make sure, that the lava is just 1/3 block deep, or more common drops/money will be destroyed by it), place a water candle next to you and drink a battle potion.
you then can either watch and enjoy or go AFK. (place a bed and set a spawn point at your trap, tho, in case of wraiths, worms or mech-bosses, if you haven't defeated them yet, if you wish to farm while AFK.)

So good, It's not just me with the messed up numbers. I could make an AFK trap, all 3 bosses are down, but I'd rather farm them normally. I just hope he didn't accidently make it .1% because killing like 700 more Corruptors is not something I look forward to.

it's just a matter of probability. i bet some players have immense troubles finding blindfolds.
i've found a complete set of ancient necro armor (+2 extra greaves and 2 extra chestpieces) in normalmode during my first visit of the corruption within 1 night right after i finished my gold armor, which made me happy, yet, i still could smash my head on the desk for wasting all that gold ores back then on the armor.

on the other hand, finding the ancient cobalt set (same droprate) was a disaster. 3 greaves and 4 chestpieces and countless hours (not AFK), until i got the helmet.
well...got me 3 stacks of stingers and vines in the end. i guess it was worth it.

Yeah despite being a 1 in 550 chance to drop, I have 2 pairs of *Shadow greaves sitting in a chest, just like your full set.

Blood Moons are great for rare drops. I got like 5 Blindfolds in a minute over the start of 2 different Moons.

I remember doing nothing but farming Corruptors for literally 5 hours straight the first time I tried to make an Ankh Charm. Drove me freaking insane. Ironically, now I get Vitamins all the time while farming other things like Souls of Night and Crimson Keys, to the point that I just sell them now.

RNG is a ♥♥♥♥♥.

I remember last server I did. I ended up getting EVERY drop, including 3 back to back to back Paladin shield drops, all while looking for Magnet Sphere. I got every other possible drop 3-4 times before I saw it once. RNG is a finky mistriess

I got a Hallowed Key Mold just by looking in lava where something had died.

I got hallowed key mold who appear to be second biome key mold i got while im killing some Chaos Elemental till i get Rod of Discord but i don't get that rare teleportation staff. I need to kill many Chaos Elemental till i get this.
