How to spawn npcs?

i know the conditions to spawn them but is there a mod or something where i can spawn them or maybe a cheat? i have gamiki mod but spawning npcs really doesnt work. is there a way to do this?

They spawn during the day (possibly when there isn't an invasion) when theres an available house, but the map editor program called TEdit lets you spawn NPCs manually.

thanks now i can get the npcs for my city cuz i didnt want to enable hardmode and go through spider caves to get hair stylest (eww spiders they are creepy). thank you sooooo much
