Finding snipers in the dungeon

How do I get the skeleton sniper to spawn (I really want that rifle)?

I've been farming the dungeon for a while now and in that time I managed to farm up 2 paladin shields, 3 tactical shotguns and several platinums worth of cash, but not a single sniper ever spawned.
Are there any special conditions (other that the world is post-plantera) that need to be met before they start spawning?

According to the official wiki, Skeleton Snipers only spawn in dungeon sections with a Slab Wall, which is visually distinct from Tiled and Brick walls. See here: http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Dungeon_Brick_Wall

Thanks. I have never seen ragged casters, either. But I have seen rusty armored bones spawn in one (very small) area. I guess I'll concentrate my farming attempts there.

They're also a pretty rare spawn from my experiences, so keep that in mind aswell, might be you're just extremely unlucky

Urgh. and it doesn't help that in my multiplayer world, that certain tile never appears. My ranger friend will never get a sniper rifle and scope ;-;

Thanks for all the imput. I took notice of the different dungeon walls, and have now found my first sniper! No rifle, though.

My Giga dungeon farm has Every type of hardmode dungeon enemy spawn and be murdered soon after.

Name a Dungon loot and i've got it.

It's worth noting that the slab wall is sometimes *behind* solid dungeon tiles, so you can often clear out an area with them to increase the spawn.
