I keep dropping my items.

Everytime I bring up my map or go to the internet or something and then go back to terraria I drop whatever item I have selected in my hotbar.... it used to make me use my grappling hook but now I just drop everything.

When you minimize terraria dont click the tree at the bottom make sure you hit the - at the top right, because if you click the tree terraria is still running it dosent pause your game. also when its minimized when you clicked the tree you can still click on you items in you inventory

I never minimize with the tree.... and it does it when I open my map sometimes.

My best guess is one of the buttons you use (Tab, maybe?) must be bound to "throw item" in addition to whatever you want it to do.

It's not doing it anymore so I have no idea what was going on.

Could be anything.

One time I was trying to play a game and I noticed one button was doing two different things. Turned out I'd just left JoyToKey running on some other game's button setup.

If a button does something it's not supposed to, odds are either something's "catching" your use of this button and applying an action to it, or it's been bound to multiple actions somehow.
