WoF Drops - Emblems?

Hello

I am kind of frustrated by Wall of Flesh as since this new version i killed 15 of them so far and i managed to get 8 warrior emblems... thats cool isnt it?

the problem is i never get any other emblem than warrior's. Neither mage or ranger one.
Does anyone else have this problem or am i just super super unlucky?

EDIT: According to wiki the odds are that after killing 15 WoFs you have below .00000000012% chance to not get ranger or mage emblem which is the reason i suspect a bug.

Super unlucky. There was one fellow a while back only getting Sorc emblems. :)

Try killing the WoF numerous times and getting 12 Warrior Emblems and 12 Ranger Emblems, but no Sorcerer Emblems whatsoever. Most freaking frustrating grind I've ever done in my life.

have you try to kill him with different weapons , I found myself more lucky to get sorcerer emblem if I kill it with magic weapon

That doesn't work. The item he drops is pure RNG.

Finally, on my 16th WoF i received one mage emblem. still i need the ranger one because that is my favorite.

I must be lucky because 99% of the time ( of all the time I kill him he once never drop an emblem) when I was killing him with a ranged weapons I receive an ranger emblem and when I killed him with a magic item I got a sorcerer badge and with a melee weapon I got a warrior one

Tough luck, that's all.

I killed the Wall of Flesh about 10~15 times and got 5 Wall of Flesh Trophies and 3 Masks but only 1 Sorcerer Emblem and 3 Ranger Emblems, the rest were Warriors.

Correlation does not imply causality. If you convince yourself there's a pattern, you'll find one, even when there is none.

I used various wepons to kill the WoF. So far there is a correlation, as long I killed it with a Melee weapon (which don't have projectiles) the dropped emblem would be warrior emblem, same applied with a ranged weapon and a magic weapon. Terraria version 1.2.4.1.

I also was frustrated of always getting the ranged emblem, but as soon I switched from my True Night's Edge to Keybrand I managed to get the warrior emblem. The problem was that while using the True Night's Edge I kept hitting the WoF with its projectiles rather than the actual blade.

Correlation =/= causality. No one has found any evidence in the game data that there is any link between the type of weapon used and the emblem the WoF drops, or else it would be common knowledge by now. You're just finding patterns in what is really random chance.

Even if you kill 50 WoF with melee weapons and don't get ranger or mage emblem it still proves nothing because that just might be very high luck. Just as my case,it took me over 20 WoF to get non-warrior emblem. But it does only prove that i was really really unlucky, the odds are even smaller than me getting killed by vending machine.

I've had the same problem before, only I'd get ranged and magic weapons but no melee class ones. The solution I used in the end was to just focus on other parts of the game and come back later. When I did, I had vastly superior equipment and was able to face roll him much faster.

It ended up working, and nowadays I can find the items I want from him.

But like Over8001 said multiple times, correlation does not prove causality. By the same token, my first armor polish drop for my first ahkn (or however you spell it) shield took extremely long, but now I find the item easily. Still, it is nothing but the random number generator choosing me for its amusement.

@ Drag, that's what I was about to try also. Apparently I have not noticed that the emblems could all be used to make an even better emblem, so now I'll be farming the WoF in my turtle gear (implying that I also have much better weapons than when I first fought WoF) so I hope it should be a quick and easy farm for many drops. I definitely have a lot of dolls to use up anyway, as well as 4 characters (for each major class) to equip.
