Wyverns during Hardmode Boss fights.

I think many guys will agree with me: Hardly anything is more annoying (apart from losing whole inventory when dieing) than ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Wyverns spawning during a Hardmode boss fight. If any developer will anytime read this: I think many Terrarians want this: Please switch off the Wyvern spawn rate when summoning a boss. I just had a Destroyer fight... And there were 3 Wyverns spawning whilst fighting, dealing large amounts of extra damage.

Oh i know what u mean: Yeah, i have a sky bridge there made from solid blocks :)

You can switch off the Wyvern spawn rate yourself. You do it by going to a lower elevation.

Also Magical Harp or Golden Shower rips through them in seconds flat.

I thought melee was the least effective against hardmode bosses....

I guess you could use Terra Blade or something, I don't really remember what melee weapons are effective against segmented enemies. Flower Pow? Vampire Knives?

Any spear or flail tears through Wyverns like paper. Really, if you've reached the point where you're facing off against mech bosses, Wyverns should be nothing to you.

I've....never actually tried the frost moon. And by the time you can actually obtain that weapon, there's no threat from the destroyer

Oh yeah, frost armor + mushroom spear pretty much murders it.

I wouldn't say "any" spear though, I don't expect Gungnir to be that easy.

No, Gungnir murders Wyverns pretty efficiently, too. Really, if you just pay attention to their movement pattern, they aren't a threat at all no matter what weapons you have, although it may be difficult to dodge them during a boss fight.

If you've just started hardmode, and you're using basically Molten gear, you're not likely to defeat a wyvern

Ok iguys, i need to say that I had quite less problems after the first fight :D I wanted to summon Destroyer, then Skeletron Prime spawned on its own. I made it with the Cutlass and the Dao of Pow, in the next night i used both weapons again, and the mushroom spear, and made two destroyers in one night :D mushroom spear is one of my favorite weapons... and i had slime statues with crab engines, who produced hearts for me when i was low on life, and heart statues, campfires, heart lanterns and honey :D and i used the ichor flask to reduce the enemies defense... It was quite easy to kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, in the night after the destroyers i killed the destroyers again, one of them (i tried 2, but the nicght ended just when i nearly killed the 2nd one -.-), and in the next night i killed the Twins, and now i am farming Clorophyte in the Jungle :) btw i used Titanium armor for the mech bosses, set bonus is so great.
