Jungle or Meteor armor??
So I just started getting into the whole mage thing and Im able to make both of the sets but I dont know which one is better... Right now I have:

Mythical Water Bolt
Violent Jellyfish Diving Gear (for digging and exploring) / Warding Obsidian Shield (for boss fights)
Menicing Spectre Boots
Warding Blizard in a Bottle
Lucky Mana Flower
Lucky Magic Cuffs

Which armor should I be using?? Also I can reforge any of my accesories thanks to the coin glitch if need be.

Edit: Thanks for all the help!! I did some testing and from the looks of it having high crit is WAY better than having flat damage increase... atleast b4 hard mode anyway... so Jungle armor w/ lucky everything all the way!!

Meteor makes you have 0 mana usage on space gun while jungle armor increase mana and something else

Yah I read what both do so im basicaly asking whats better, a flat inc in damage a la meteor or the crit and less mana cost form the jungle?? I mean damage is fantastic cuz it makes every shot hit like a truck but I like the idea of critting alot (eventho its random) and the less mana useage means I can spam more spells.

Jungle armor increases Mana usage more so Jungle Armor is more useful.

Yah.. I was actualy leaning to the jungle and reforging all my accesories with "lucky" to get ~40 crit chance...

On the other hand I COULD make all my accesories flat damage increase giving me ~20% crit w/ 20% inc damage... I would crit less but when I do they would sting...

Yes, damage is generally better. Results in more total damage done, a more stable damage output, and yes, bigger crits when you do crit.

In Terraria, Defense provides a flat damage reduction, and crit damage is calculated *after* that reduction is applied. If your damage is 100 and you crit something with 20 damage reduction, you'll do 160 damage, not 180.

I generall prefer damage bonuses on armor too, because it actually acts as Mana usage reduction anyway (you need less Mana to do the same damage) while it also increases your max DPS.

Jungle Armor's combined -16% Mana usage and +9% crit might not be *quite* as good as Meteor's +21% damage, but they're close, though. Additionally, it's got +60 Mana.

If you use the Space Gun, I'd say definitely go with Meteor. Else, Jungle might be a tiny bit better.
