Unable to summon Pumpkin Moon or Frost Moon during night?

I'm using Terraria 1.2.2 and for some reason, I'm not able to summon Pumpkin Moon with the medallion during the night in both of my Hard mode worlds (Plantera and Golem defeated). The same applies with the Naughty Present. Is this happening for others as well? I was able to summon Pumpkin Moon off-season after the event finished since I created new worlds when the event occurred, but haven't tried Frost Moon yet. I want to play it but it won't let me use the Naughty Present. Help?

Do you have an active hardmode boss? Are there any events going on? Please, I need more details! Have you tried waiting nights? Relogging?

I have one world in which all hardmode bosses and pre hardmode bosses are defeated along with the pirate invasion, goblin invasion and the frost legion. However, neither the Pumpkin Moon Medallion or Naughty Present continue to work in thise world, as they did once before during and after the events. The other world is in hardmode but the Twins and Skeletron Prime have not been defeated yet. This world has yet to be used with either of the Moon event items.

I've waited numerous nights and tried summoning during the start of each night and throughout the night and relogging but still no avail. Perhaps I should defeat The Twins and Prime in the second world and try again. Those are the only two hardmode bosses left in that world.

Maybe attempt to kill, the Twins and Skeletron? If it doesn't work, assuming you have the resources, make a new wrold and make it hardmode kill all mech bosses on the new world and attempt it there.

Have you got a pet buff active?
Because I read somewhere that you can't summon it with a pet buff active. Hope this helps!

I activate the Naughty Present all the time with two pet buffs active (Raven and Cursed Sapling)... if there's an issue it might be with some very specific pet.

Yeah apparently having a pet summoned (Pet Snowman) interferred with the summoning of each of the events. Everything is fine now. Thanks everyone.
