Is it possible to make water?

Can you create pools of water out of nowhere? Or there is only a finite number of water in the world? Something like digging a hole and wait for rain or something? Thanks

Rain does not fill gaps or holes, Water is everywere anyway left n right of ya ponds and such and ocean left and right of map, And there is unlimited water liquid generators on youtube you can use.

you can also use an Empty Bucket, made from like 5ish iron bars, to pick up and carry water/lava/honey, although its only a small amount pet bucket, great for making lavatraps or honeypools in arena's

Like the others said, you can't dig a hole and fill it with rain but you can do it with 1 bucket of water that you picked up from somewhere. The nice thing about that is that it won't just be for filling holes in the ground to make ponds or lakes. You can fill in any space you want with water (for example, make your own pond in the air/sky and fill it with water.
