Ankh Shield: Best modifier?

I just obtained the Ankh Shield on one of my newer characters, and it occured to me that I really don't know which modifier to shoot for. Currently, I'm debating between Lucky, Warding, Menacing, and Violent, seeing as I alternate between Melee and Ranged setups.

I use warding on my melee character.

Defense doesn't matter becuase in hardmode on pumpkin moon some enemys does +100 damage.
I would use menacing.

In general, Menacing is the best modifier.
