(SOLVED) Double cod, jungle surface ... nope

Wiki says you can fish double cod (used in ammo reserrvation potion) in the jungle on sky or surface level. I tried, but found none, only tons of neon tetra and bass, and various crates, quest fish and pretty much everything you'd expect except double cod. It is maybe night-only? (I fished during the day only and then lost patience.)

I think they are surface since the summoning fish(something-lardfish) is in the underground. But give the underground a try and see if you have better luck there.

Also, how big is your pool and fishing power?

Fishing conditions were optimum.
Once I get a quest for UG jungle, I'll see whether it maybe has been moved to UG only.

Some fish only show up (or at least, show up reasonably frequently) above a certain Fishing Power, that may be the issue.

Dunno, it could only be that it conpetes with other items on the loot table. 150 fishing power should be enough. I just fished again and fished up 20 quest fish and I caught 1 double cod, among tons of neon tetra and bass and crates.

Mystery solved. It is as I suspected: When you have a quest fish catchable, it competes with the Double Cod. I fished in the jungle without a quest there and got plenty of them now.
