How do you download maps for Mac?

Ive watched every tutorial there is on downloading maps for mac but every time I open the game after finishing the tutorial the map is not there, please help.

Im not sure about this, but do you know where the terraria folder is? I heard it's located in a 'mygames' folder similar to PC. If you can find it, let me know.

I know where to find the my games folder and terraria then worlds , but once i place the world file into the worlds folder and start up the game, none of the maps I download show up. Thank you.

If you're trying to get your worlds to load properly on your mac, try this. Press shift, command and G, then in the box that comes up type ~/Library/Application Support/Terraria and it should bring you to where your worlds and player files are located at. I brought in my worlds and a few characters from my PC version and they all work perfectly. Hope it helps

Problem: I have successfully found Application Support folder but there is no Steam or Terraria folder in it, yet I have been playing game for ages. Any ideas?
