Whats the best pre moon lord weapon?

i'v killed the moon lord many times and got all his drops, but i'm starting a new expert mode world and i can't decide whats the best pre moon lord weapon, please tell me what you think

Like the first response said, it depends on your class. Whether you care or not it's just plain silly to not choose a specific class as it will maximise your damage output which will end the fight faster with less damage taken. As for which class is best, it's a matter of preference.

i think best pre moon lord weapon is the charged blaster cannon. it acts like a last prism and also deals lots of damage

I don't know about other vlasses very much but for magic it'd most likely be razorblade typhoon and maybe the megashark for ranged.

The Megashark is basically a toy gun by that point. I wouldn't use it for anything past Plantera.

I personally wouldn't even use it for Plantera, though it's still a viable weapon by then if you're properly geared and using Ichor.

if were talking JUST pre moon lord, magic: still typhoon i dont like the other magic weapons, to little AOE for way too high of mana cost. ranged: vortex blaster or chain gun. melee: solar eruption or just vamp knives.

EDIT: chain gun does more damage and fires faster than the megashark. and since everyone and their mother uses chlorophyte bullets the bad accuracy is negated.

Since everyone here is giving you vague information, I'm just gonna tell you the most powerful weapons and armor that I used to defeat the moon lord. My class is melee, as most Terrarians have. The weapons I use are; the Terrablade -or, if you prefer, the Influx Waver-, Solar Eruption, Eye of Cthulu (yoyo), and vampire knives. I also use Vortex Beater (range), and Betsy's Wrath (magic). The armor I use is Beetle Armor. I also like to reforge my equiptment so that it has some sort of defense, so, combined with the beetle armor, I take almost no damage.
This might not be important to you since you've probably already defeated Moon Lord but, hey!

I used a shroomite gun set with the vortex beater and clorophite bullets. my accesories were a shield and the rest was damage boost items. I recommend the cosmic car mount
