Anyone found a use for coal?
You can get coal by opening packages from Xmas season event (added in 1.3). I have found no use for them at all. Does this mean they are nothing more than a space filler, or have I missed something?

Coal is traditionally the present you give to someone you dislike. There is no use for it.

I was pretty sure it was meant for bad little kids, not some one you dislike. THen again it would make a great gift for someone that's whining for free stuff.

I thought it was placable... Kinda crappy that X-mas can have a dud but Halloween doesn't.

Halloween has rotten eggs. They barley deal damage and are overall crap

They can be used to kill friendly NPCs. This is really useful in 1.3 as many of them now drop some what useful (early-game) weapons.

Try to get the Painter's paintball gun. It's a ranged weapon that doesn't use ammo. Really great right off the bat.
