Easiest Boss to Hardest
Since I just defeated the Lunatic Cultist and Moon Towers (Which, honestly wan't all THAT hard), I decided to make this thread for people who beat every boss in Terraria.

Just put the names of the Bosses in order from Easiest (Eye of Cthulu) to Hardest (MOON LORD). See? I already did 2 4 u.

Totally right, I did. edited.
we had a thread about this but it was already old
well assuming its either normal/expert mode
and
you have gear the maximum you can obtain before defeating a boss (ex: no hallow armor before killing any bosses the maximum you can get would be adamite/titanium)
the list really goes in the order that bosses are supposed to be fought in, although some people have harder time dealing with bosses than others so it varies slightly:
king slime
eye of chithulu
eater of worlds/brain of chithulu (eater i would say is slightly harder since theres not alot of room unlike the crimson where the area has a big enough space)
skeletron
queen bee
wall of flesh
the mechanical bossees (destroyer, skeletron prime, the twins) i would say destroyer is the easiest skeletron prime is somewhere in between and the twins are the hardest mainly because there are two of them and keep track is kinda hard if you are trying to kill them one at a time
plantera
golem
lunatic cultist
duke fishron
moon lord

the sub bosses/mini bosses from events would go somewhere in between when you can summon them (ex: pirate invasion sub boss are easier since they can be summoned earlier as compared to pumpkin/frost moon sub bosses)

Plantera, Wall of Flesh, Eye of Cthulu, Brain of Cthulu, Eater of Worlds, Queen Bee, Mechanical Bosses, Golem, Lunatic, Mr. Fishyron, and Moon Lord.

*This is NOT a troll. The most damage I took while fighting Plantera was 50.... from the mobs in my big arena. NO CHEESE. Just fly around in circles around Plantera while shooting Megashark with the chloro-bullets. Also my Golem glitches and got stuck in the ceiling so I can't rate it very well but I could have killed it first try with vampire knives anyways*

Assuming a legit, non-cheese (no teleporters, no invincibility) fight on normal, with the optimal level-appropriate weapons here is my list, plus method that I found to be effective to kill them:

King Slime - use arrows and run away to avoid being hit

Eye of Cthulhu - stack of shurikens, or bow and arrows. You can simply run across your world and shoot him while taking the odd hit, since he does so little damage

Eater of Worlds - stand inside him and just wail on him with your sword. His segments drop health upon death so you can win the damage race

Brain of Cthulhu - use sword to take out creepers and use hearts they drop to regain health, switch to ranged for second form

Wall of Flesh - build a bridge through hell and just shoot

Queen Bee - build platforms in hive before starting, use these to vertically evade the charges. Shoot at her while she is hovering, using sword to kill bees while moving from side to side to avoid stingers.

Destroyer - build skybox wide enough to manouver in, with one-wide slits in the bottom. Place clouds to rain on the destroyer using nimbus rod. Use the minimap to see the destroyer coming, and then move sideways to avoid him. Repeat until dead.

Golem - Remove all traps from temple. Use megashark+chlorophyte bullets to destroy the hands (use golden shower to shred defence) while flying in arcs over his head. Keep using the gun to kill head, if you keep moving he will barely ever hit you. Switch to your highest dps-weapon to burst down the body, for me this was a yoyo.

Skeletron - Build platforms and take down the hands first to reduce threat before going for the head, using a strong ranged weapon.

Lunatic Cultist - Use UFO to fly around him in circles - he will have a hard time hitting you apart from the icy ball, which is pretty easy to dodge anyway. Most weapons with any range at all work here - possessed hatchet is pretty good since you don't have to aim and can focus on flying.

The Twins - Build an asphalt skybridge. Get a megashark with crystal bullets. Run along the skybridge shooting Spazmatism until he dies, then kill Retinazer using the same tactic. They will not catch you, meaning that you only have to worry about the lasers.

Skeletron Prime - There is no easy out with this guy. He cannot be outrun, and so must be dodged. The best setup here is loads of platfroms to allow vertical and horizontal dodges. Use megashark+crystal bullets and aim at the head to minimise fight time, as Prime can work you down quickly if you're not careful.

Plantera - Clear out a big space and place platforms in the underground jungle. When you find a bulb, make sure you can rapidly get to your arena to avoid being cornered by Plantera. When in the arena, move in tight circles around Plantera's first form, widening the circles for the second form to avoid being him by the tentacles. Use megashark+chlorophyte bullets. Health regen is super useful.

Duke Fishron - UFO makes this so much easier. You will probably need to fight this guy a few times to learn to dodge his dashes, but he is still really difficult due to the obstacles he creates to obstruct your movement. The bubbles aren't a problem if you use possessed hatchet since they will be destroyed on touch. Ranged works great too. Try to move the fight from the water's surface to space and back to avoid being near the sharknados at any given time.

Moon Lord - Drink a ♥♥♥♥-ton of potions (regeneration, endurance, ironskin, , wrath, rage, lifeforce) use full beetle armour for defence, and just continuously flee across the screen in a UFO, moving diagonally for more speed. Daybreak is brilliant here, allowing you to take advantage of the melee bonus given by it while remaining at range. Stay close enough to see the forehead eye, and when it opens, get ready to move closer in order to circle around it to stay ahead of the laser, changing direction in the process. Keep running and shooting until moon lord is dead.

I find Moon Lord ludicrously easy. I didn't build an arena, and using pre-golem items purely I annihalated him.

Fishron's the only one I haven't beat yet. Never needed to.
How? The dungeon guardian is easy with the right gear. I beat him the first time with a north pole and turtle armor. (I didn't get hit so the set bonus didn't need to activate.) I made the mistake of using a old skeletron arena when fighting him and I only had wings since this was before the ufo. It was still pretty easy since he only has a melee attack and not any abilities.

If you use the ufo and a rapid chain gun with crystal bullets and max hit he dies really fast but that is too easy for me so I don't use that.
thebootybandit Aug 10, 2016 @ 8:01pm
I think the easiest is the destroyer or plantera
OUnilateralis Aug 10, 2016 @ 8:09pm
Note my list is in expert mode.

For the gear you get the golem is a joke. An absolute joke he is so easy.

As for 2nd place on the loser list we have Skeletron Prime who you'd think would be strong but is completely useless as you can just kill his three arms and just stand there while he floats above your head like an idot spinning on occasion which you can easily just walk away from.

3rd place for the easiest enemy is culist who you can dodge pretty easily.

For the hardest boss we have no one because they are all pretty easy I can't pick.

King slime is easiest by far. For those of you who haven't tried it this way, the arena is about 30 ropes. That's it. King slime's movement is limited to teleporting (and he can only teleport onto a surface, meaning you're safe if you're on a high rope) and jumping (he can't jump all that high). Throw grenades. The hardest part is literally timing your throws so you don't miss. There's certainly no danger of death.

I have a tendency not to put platforms in my arenas, but I do have campfires (and on the surface, heart lanterns; and star in bottles for mage mains/subs). I have solid blocks in mid air so that I have something to land on to help with evasion. I also have suspended mine rails. I don't use teleporters in my fights.

Normal:
Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, King Slime, Brain of Cthulhu, Skeletron, Destroyer, Golem, Wall of Flesh, Giant Mimics (Hallow, etc.), The Twins, Skeletron Prime, Lunatic Cultist, Moon Towers, Plantera, Duke Fishron, Moon Lord

Expert:
Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, King Slime, Destroyer, Golem, The Twins, Brain of Cthulhu, Wall of Flesh, Giant Mimics (Hallow, etc.), Skeletron, Skeletron Prime, Moon Towers, Plantera, Duke Fishron, Moon Lord

As you can see, I find Destroyer to be very easy to defeat in either mode (the head is VERY easy to avoid; use that minimap to see where the head is moving). I typically go either magic or melee, although I have tried the other two classes as well. I also found the Eater of the Worlds to be a joke too in either mode. Worm bosses are easy to defeat for me. In neither case do I need to have a Nurse or Dryad near me.

Golem is a joke regardless of mode. Plantera and Duke Fishron are nightmares in Expert mode that require buffs and extra planning (no Nurse or Dryad, no arena whatsoever, and maybe some campfires for the Plantera fight in a big area; gravitation potions to cheese the Fishron fight). I have yet to defeat Duke Fishron without cheese (i.e. the gravitation potions).

Last note: platforms don't stop the Martian Saucer's or Moon Lord's beams from going through. Keep this in mind when making your arenas or else you'll take some heavy hits.
