Painting Furniture
I would just like to know whether it's possible to paint mannequins, so I'll know if there's something wrong in my game or not. I have experimented with it myself, but whenever I try to paint one, it makes the splash effects, but stays the same default colour.

Its not a paint brush, because it is a ''furniture'' item there is an item you get from the traveling merchant that applys paint to placed furniture while equiped.
Aye, the Paint Brush is what I used. The Paint Roller won't have any impact, as that's only intended to paint Walls. Hmm, the Paint Sprayer, yes... I'd completely forgotten about it, even though I've known of it. I'll try that, thanks!

It worked fine with every other building block or furniture piece, but for some reason, the mannequins just don't change colour.

You need either the Paint Sprayer or Architect Gizmo Pack (which has the effect of the Paint Sprayer because it is a component used to craft it). Have either of those items in your inventory (and the paint you desire your furniture to be painted) and place your furniture, then the placed furniture will have that paint applied to it. From what I can tell you cannot paint already placed furniture.

By now I figured it out, but thanks. :-P Maybe it also changed a little with the recent 1.3.1 update. Problem was that even with the Gizmo Pack or so, when I placed mannequins, nothing would work.

Mannequins, Weapon Racks, and Item Frames cannot be painted. At all.

As for other furniture, you can totally paint them, even without the Paint Sprayer. Just use a brush.

On the contrary, I do believeI painted Item Frames for one of my builds. I'll have to recheck, though, because it's been a while since I played.

Aye, that I've done too.
