Sandstone Block

This is one useless block right? I know that Sand block and Hardened Sandstone block can be used to craft glass/brick. But what does this block do? So far, I haven't found any use for this. Heck, even Dirt block can still be used to make wall.

Well, I have tons of dirt block, so the sandstone is still useless for me. At first, I'm thinking to use it to block the spread of corruption/crimson, but then realize that this block too, also get transformed by the corruption.

So... unless you want to build some kind of sand castle maybe? For now, I just use it to play toss with lava pool :speak:

You could build a Pyramid :D

technically, pyramids are made of sandstone BRICK, which I'm pretty sure is uncraftable.

it's really weird that you can't make sandstone brick or sandstone slab from sandstone.

I can't seem to find an underground corrupted desert biome to mine crimsand stone block in my journey world, I have stop spread selected, have 2 corrupted desert zones in the world already but even the crimson cave surrounded by desert has no crimsand stone

Guess I'll have to leave the pre created cave and go sideways maybe

Nope, found a small cavern and it's all uncorrupted dirt and rock, no sand in site, except on the back wall
